We want to help make a difference in your renewal efforts. Recently, we notified our mutual customers that their Microsoft Open License, Open Value, or Open Value Subscription agreements are expiring within the next 90 days. Our intent is both to inform customers of the status of their agreements and to support you in your efforts to renew these agreements.
This is a prime opportunity to grow your business. Recapture and gain incremental revenue by renewing your customers’ expiring Software Assurance coverage for their Volume License agreements.
TWO EASY WAYS TO HELP SECURE YOUR BUSINESS AND INCREASE REVENUE.
1. Request your renewals workbook. We’ve created a renewals workbook for your company in a simple-to-use Microsoft Excel file that identifies which of your customer agreements are due to expire, and when.

2. Visit the SMB Open Renewals Center. This site is full of tools to help you sell Open License renewals effectively, including on-demand training, sales cards, templates, and presentations.
THREE TIPS TO DRIVE RENEWALS
Renewal conversations are an excellent opportunity to highlight the services and cost advantages your customers will lose if their licenses expire. Start planning 90 days before expiration and make sure you:
1. Prepare your conversations and proposals before your agreements expire.
2. Know the value of renewing.
a. Anticipate customer concerns and prepare Software Assurance benefit sales strategies. Access key resources.
b. Initiate Software Asset Management conversations to help create opportunities for additional solutions and services. Learn more.
3. Show your customers ways to tailor licensing agreements to fit their unique growth plans, cash flow, and desired levels of support.
Sincerely yours,
U.S. Microsoft SMB Volume Licensing Renewal Team
