News From PacITPros – MCSE Bootcamp

02 Jul

Pacific IT Professionals members:  I have a date and location for our first MCSE 2003 + Security boot camp and some great news about the class.  We will be adding a section on for Server 2008 exams.  All this for $3,995. (See details below.)

The first session will be in San Francisco  8/5 – 8/18.  (I’m working on sessions for Fresno and Sacramento.)  AND…. I could not announce this before today, but we will be including info on the Server 2008 exams at no additional cost.

The boot camp is 14 days of intensive hands-on training and covers all the material you need to know to pass the MCSE Server 2003 + Security exams.  (That’s 8 exams.)  In addition you’ll find out about what’s on the new Server 2008 exams.  In all it’s about 120 hours of hands-on instruction.  Even if you are not taking the MCSE exams, this class is perfect for any IT Pro looking for an intensive class on Server administration.

And more great news.  I’ve been able to lower the price for even more.

Just to review what you are getting into.  This is an MCSE + Security boot camp.  You will receive hands-on instruction from a boot camp instructor I hand selected. – You know I go for the best.  (He’s been teaching boot camps for 10 years, and is just great instructors.  He takes pride in knowing his students know the material and can pass the exams.)  Included with the registration for the class are the exam fees (over $1,000), lab manuals, practice exams and tips to help you pass the exam ($1500).  In addition you will be receiving the info on passing the Server 2008 certifications.  (It’s much easier to upgrade from MCSE Server 2003 with Security to Server 2008, then going through the entire Server 2008 track.)  The fee for the 14 day class is $4,875.

I am limiting class size and plan on having one or two assistant instructors, depending on class size).  We want to see that you pass.  Upon completion of the class and exams you will have the following certifications: MCP, MCSA, MCSE Server 2003, MCSE Server 2003 + Security and CompTIA Security+.  If you are unable to pass all the exams on the first try, you will have study material for you to continue your studies so you will pass.

For those interested in learning, and not necessarily interested in taking passing the exams this would be a great workshop for you.  Not only do I have a great instructor for you, you will have lots of personalized instruction.  (While the others are taking the exam, the teachers are yours.)  You will still need the lab manuals and study guides – The cost for the “I don’t want to take the exams” option or the “I will provide my own exam vouchers” is $3,990.  (Contact me to register for this option.)

Preferred payment is Check or any non-plastic method.  (For this class we will accept POs.  However, payment must be received a week before the class.)

To register for the SF workshop, visit

(Contact me if you would like to make installment payments. I need payment in full a week before the class begins.)

The location for the SF workshop will be in San Francisco at Market and 3rd, 300 feet from the Montgomery BART stop.  If you need a hotel I’m in the process of making arrangements with several local hotels.  (All are ones I would allow my wife and kinds to stay in.)  I’ve been told you should expect to pay around $100 a night.)

I’m working on a class from Fresno, 9/30-10/13.  This is tentative.  I need assistance finding a location and we need a minimum number of attendees.

To register for Fresno visit:

We have plans for a class in Sacramento in October.
