Quebec Old City

24 Jun

Rode bike path (Route Verte 5) from very close to hotel all the way into Old Town. The path is along the St. Lawrence River. The are beautifully crafted wooden benches, artwork, and drinking fountains along the way. Old Town is touristy but not overdone, all of the old buildings, most from 17 hundreds, are restored very artfully. Every major town we have been to has a Fairmont hotel that is in the largest castle in town, it’s the same here. Ended up locking up the bikes and walking all over town, including to the Citadel, total of 5 miles!!

Rode back and it started to rain a little, jumped in pool to cool off and it started to really rain. In room sipping wine/beer watching lightning and heavy rain and listening to thunder! Munching Ritz crackers with hummus and some with peanut butter. Relaxing once again.
